FLU VACCINATIONS

It’s that time of year when we ask people to come along to the surgery for a flu jab. Flu can be a serious illness for certain ‘at risk’ people, including diabetics, asthmatics, people with heart or kidney problems, those with a weak immune system, pregnant women, carers and everyone over the age of 65 years. For these people, the Government recommends a flu vaccination.

IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD YOUR FLU JAB PLEASE COME ALONG TO THE SURGERY TO HAVE THIS CARRIED OUT BY OUR PRACTICE NURSE.

AS A PRACTICE WE TRY TO MEET PATIENTS REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENTS BUT THIS CAN SOMETIMES BE DIFFICULT WHEN PATIENTS CONTINUE TO FAIL TO ATTEND. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT IF YOU NO LONGER REQUIRE TO SEE THE GP. THIS WILL ALLOW OTHER PATIENTS THE CHANCE TO SEE THE GP.
