The Practice nurses hold morning and afternoon surgeries. Please make an appointment if you require: - Ear syringing; travel advice; removal of sutures (stitches); dressings; immunisations; blood pressure checks; health checks; cervical smears; asthma and diabetic checks. Our practice nurses also run heart disease and health promotion clinics. We also have specialist nurses who provide additional services.

Our Health Care Assistant holds morning clinics everyday and can be seen by appointment for, bloods, health checks, routine blood pressure checks and ECG.

District Nurses provide a high quality nursing service in the community over a 24-hour period, 7 days a week.

The District Nursing Sister assesses individual care needs and the team provides a full range of nursing care including health promotion activities with the patients’ home. The District Nursing Service works together with other healthcare providers, such as hospital and the statutory and voluntary services.

The district nurses can be contacted Mon-Fri 8am - 4.30pm on 740188 and evenings on 740208.

Our Health Visitors are trained nurses who have a responsibility to children under 5 years and their families. They have special training in Health Education and Promotion. They hold weekly drop in sessions and assist in running our Child Development Screening Clinic and oversee the child immunisation programme. Our Health Visitors are also involved in the Smoking Cessation Clinics and other Health Promotion activities and can be seen by appointment.
