National Waiting Times

Here you will find information on waiting times for patients referred by GPs to consultant outpatient clinics.

You can use this information in discussion with your GP to help you decide where you would like to be referred for assessment.

Clinics

Ante-Natal Checks
Appointment with midwife on a Thursday afternoon.

Asthma Checks
Our asthma-trained nurses see patients any time during nurses’ hours.

Health Visitor Drop in session
12.30 – 1.30pm Thursday afternoons
No appointment needed

Child Development Screening and Immunisation
Thursday afternoons. Appointments (with Health Visitor and Doctor) will be sent to you.

Breast Awareness
Appointment with nurse in the first instance.

Cervical Smears
By appointment anytime during nurses’ hours.

Diabetic Clinic
Held on a regular basis (Appointments will be sent to you).

Family Planning (contraception advice)
Appointments with doctor (and with nurse for coils).

Keep Well Clinics
These are run by own own Practice Nurses..

Minor Surgery
See doctor for assessment first. Minor surgical procedures are carried out in the treatment room by arrangement.

Over 75’s
Patients in this age group, who do not have any chronic disease(s) will be invited to attend our practice nurse for annual review.

Post-Natal Checks – at 6 weeks after birth
During the early postnatal period, you will be seen by our Health Visitor and if an appointment is deemed necessary with either the GP or Practice Nurse then the Health Visitor will arrange this.

Well Woman and Well Man Clinics
Appointment with nurse.
